What a great place! Tucked away in S. Milwaukee, this unassuming neighborhood pub has an amazing variety of beers for the enthusiast. There's even a sheet with a brief description of the offerings, so one might get a little background on the unfamiliar handles. We were there early on a Saturday night, and the slow pace of the pub was conducive to sampling the beers and having an enjoyable conversation with the exceptional bartender. She was not only knowledgable about the beers on tap, but offered some good insight on the local beer scene. We'll definitely be back.

I've never seen a better beer bar in any city I've been to; Rogue in Portland and Elysian in Seattle come close, but Romans tops them all. The selection is just awesome, and each beer is served in the appropriate glassware at the correct temperature. This place is Mecca.

This place is a hidden gem on the South Side of Milwaukee. Looks like a typical Milwaukee bar from the outside, until you notice the metal Paulaner sign. Once you get inside, there are 28 beers on tap, and the night I went, there were 6 Belgians on tap!!! They also had Fat Tire and 90 Shilling, two beers that I have never seen outside of Colorado. The owner served us our beer (each in the proper glass) and was very knowledgeable about the beers. I will go back for sure!! I recommend going out of your way to visit this bar!!!

Best tap selection in Milwaukee--no contest. Benno's isn't bad, but this place always has a cask ale and a variety of beers you won't find anywhere else.

Exotic beers on tap that even Benno's (one of Milwaukee's other tap houses) doesn't carry. We greatly appreciate the owners ability to find rare brands. KEEP IT UP! Needs more room at the bar, though. Not that I mind sharing my space with some towers....
Looks like a typical soutside tavern from the outside, but the signage tells the real story.

This is definitely a "destination" beer bar in Milwaukee. It has dozens of interesting beers on tap at any given time, and has a nice atmosphere. They even provide a description of each beer on tap, including the alcohol content of each, so you can make an informed selection when trying something new. We'll definitely come back here.

One of the best selections of imported and microbrewed beers in Milwaukee. During my last visit, consumed La Chouffe Golden, Celebration Ale, Grant's Fresh Hop Ale, Dane's Cascade Mtn. Porter and Bell's Rye Stout. Whew! Each served in it's own distinct glass with a smile. Good vibe all around. Couple more Belgian ales on tap and I would never leave.
